The XW milling and excavating machine can be installed on any type of hydraulic excavator, efficiently replacing general configurations such as digging buckets, crushing hammers, and hydraulic shears. It is applied in multiple fields such as open-pit coal mines, tunnel excavation and contour correction, channel groove milling, asphalt concrete pavement milling, rock permafrost milling, and tree root milling. The milling and excavating machine provides a new construction method for tunnel excavation.

With the application and popularization of milling and digging machine in tunnel construction, the wear problem of pan cutter of coal mine lateral milling and digging machine (hereinafter referred to as the cutter) has become a difficult problem in the excavation of iron excavators. The wear and removal of the pick not only harms the cost of excavation, but also seriously affects the efficiency of u-0 data feed. Gao Yunxia et al. systematically classified the invalid types of mine picks and discussed the reasons and measures for their ineffectiveness. On the basis of creating the corresponding mathematical analysis model, Song Bohui carried out in-depth analysis and scientific research on the arrangement of the cutting gear of the transverse axis data feed machine, the whole process of establishing the cutting diagram and the load of the cutting head. Liu Beixian completed the analysis and design scheme of the rational layout of the milling cutter theoretically, and then adopted the dynamic model simulation and structured analysis of the working characteristics of the mining hydraulic milling and digging machine, which improved the main parameters of the important geometric figures. The paper took the iron excavation engineering construction of Zhaojiawan Tunnel as an example. According to the cutting disassembly regularity and system partition characteristics of Wiebert TD milling and dredging machine and Aikachi ER1500 milling and dredging machine, the differences of cutting and dredging wear between them are analyzed, and relevant proposals are provided to reduce cutting wear and improve the reliability of milling and dredging. According to the serial number of the cutting parts, the ineffective way and the frequency of removal of the cutting parts were analyzed by statistical analysis on the spot.
