Installation Requirements For Rexroth Motors

Jun 17, 2026

Installing a hydraulic motor is not a simple matter of splicing together; the installation of a Rexroth hydraulic motor also requires technical expertise.

1. Before installation, check the motor for damage and ensure the output shaft rotates freely. For hydraulic motors that have been stored for a long time, drain and flush out the internal oil to prevent jamming of internal moving parts.

2. The mounting bracket for the Rexroth hydraulic motor must have sufficient rigidity during rotation to prevent vibration.

3. The Rexroth hydraulic motor should be coaxially connected to the load. The splined shaft of the working machine should be aligned with the splined hole to ensure a smooth fit. When turning the output shaft, avoid sudden tightening and loosening; this will damage the motor.

4. The output shaft typically can only withstand a certain torque. The installation orientation should not subject the motor output shaft to additional radial or axial forces, otherwise, premature bearing failure may occur. When an external gear is required for the output shaft, an additional support should be installed on the other end of the gear.

5. The mounting bolts must be tightened evenly.

6. Rexroth hydraulic motors can be installed in any orientation.
