Hydraulic Motor Pressure

Jun 06, 2026

During the operation of a hydraulic motor, hydraulic oil is injected to drive the motor to rotate, thus requiring a certain pressure, i.e., driving force. This driving force is usually referred to as pressure in a hydraulic system, and its unit is not "N" (Newtons), but "MPa" (Medium-Level Pressure), the unit of pressure intensity.

Pressure is a key factor in driving force and is related to the load. The rated pressure determines the motor's load-bearing capacity. The pressure that a hydraulic motor can withstand depends on the load, not on the motor itself. The rated pressure of the motor refers to the maximum pressure it can withstand during continuous operation. To monitor pressure changes, pressure gauges are installed in the hydraulic system, and their range must be selected based on the maximum pressure of the hydraulic system. It is also recommended to reserve multiple pressure gauge interfaces during system design to monitor the system pressure status at any time.
